This is a case series first reports of the Chinese experience in the management of new-borns of mothers with SARS-CoV 2 infection did not recommend mother-baby contact or breastfeeding. A series of 22 case studies of new-borns to mothers with COVID-19 infection Mothers and new-borns were followed for a median period of 1.8 consecutive months. Results shows breastfeeding is safe with correct infection and control measures to decrease the risk of contagion by droplets and by contact with the respiratory secretions between mother and infant. When mother-baby child separation occurs, supplementing feeding with pasteurized donor human milk or infant formula may be effective until breastfeeding is resumed.
