Membership

Foundation of Healthcare Technologies Society (FHTS) is glad to announce the launch of SHINE (SMAART Hub for Informatics enabled Nutrition Education) Membership. It aims to build a community of learners and practitioners who are keen to understand the intersection of information and technology and Nutrition and facilitate the technology enabled behaviour change interventions into Nutrition research and practice. Membership will provide individuals to share ideas, access to workshops, contribute towards meaningful exchange of ideas and expand the role of nutrition informatics towards improving health and well-being of individuals, families and the communities they live in.

FHTS is an emerging think tank dedicated to translate research into practice using Innovative SMAART Health Technology solutions to improve population health. (www.fhts.ac.in)

Nutrition Informatics is an effective retrieval, organization, storage, and optimum use of information, data, and knowledge for food- and nutrition-related problem solving and decision- making. NI helps in the management of the information dietetics professionals need to practice successfully while tailoring recommendations to meet each patient’s specific need.

The membership is open to all, whether you are a student, practitioner or a researcher or a professional across diverse fields. We invite individuals who are passionate and keen to acquire knowledge and expand their understanding about the field of nutrition informatics through research, innovation, programs, policies and education.

The NI working group offers membership in two categories

Membership for Students

  • Members will get access to the Nutrition Resource Repository (including information on year long career opportunities, workshops, training initiatives, educational resources)
  • Members will be eligible to get 15% discount on the registration fee for the annual Nutrition Informatics conference conducted by FHTS
  • Opportunity to participate in discussion board, blog writing, nutrition meal plans, and field experience opportunities
  • Mentorship from national and global experts to expand their understanding of nutrition informatics
  • Opportunity to participate in podcast and opportunity to contribute to monthly newsletter
  • Certificate of membership and certificate related to participation of the events

Membership for Professionals

  • Members will get research updates in the field of Nutrition Informatics.
  • Members will be eligible to get 15% discount on the registration fee for the annual Nutrition Informatics conference conducted by FHTS
  • Opportunity to be invited guest speakers at annual Nutrition Informatics Conference organized by FHTS
  • Opportunity to collaborate with researchers with interest in the field of nutrition informatics and beyond both nationally and globally.
  • Opportunity to make contribution in monthly newsletter
  • Opportunity to participate in Sangyan Podcast, monthly educational and informational platform
  • Opportunity to mentor students
  • Opportunity to publish research papers in peer reviewed scientific journals

To be a member of NI working group, following are the prerequisite

For students: A proof of pursuing a degree from any Institute or University
For Professionals: A proof of completion of highest qualification/Employment/Self-employed

Yearly Membership Fee

For students – INR 1000
For Professionals – INR 2500
