Thereafter, as a part of a government body and UNICEF, she was involved in the implementation and monitoring of the nutrition programmes for malnutrition among U5 children at the national and state levels. She provided technical support to six states: Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, and Telangana, in the implementation of a community-based programme for malnutrition by facilitating the convergence of different government departments and acting at the grassroots level. She was also deputed at the MoHFW to provide technical support for the revision of national guidelines for malnutrition and other related activities.

At FHTS, Nikita Arya is keen to assist in achieving the organizational role by applying her learnings and experience in health informatics and will widen her experience in the field of digital health technology.
