Yashpinder Kaur
NI Intern
Yashpinder Kaur has done graduation in B.Sc. Home Science with specialization in Food and Nutrition from Institute of Home Economics, University of Delhi. She is currently pursuing M.Sc. Food and Nutrition from Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi. She is particularly interested in the area of triple burden of malnutrition, which includes under-nutrition, over-nutrition, and micronutrient deficiencies. She is keen to work on this topic in the future, establishing a comprehensive strategy for combating it, and improving general public’s health. She also has a strong interest in research, which is one of the reasons she joined FHTS as a nutrition informatics intern.
Working as an intern at FHTS has provided me with a wealth of fresh information. It has given me a thorough understanding of research and associated tasks. Also, it has enhanced my understanding of several elements of public health. I am eternally grateful to the supportive and sympathetic mentors at FHTS for their excellent instruction and guidance. They have significantly aided me in honing my skills and abilities. My time here has helped to shape me in a favorable way, preparing me well for my future profession.
